Summer Mesh Motorbike Riding Jacket

The Meshie... My absolute go to on hot days when you want heaps of airflow!

I've been working on a lot of different Summer jacket prototypes over the years... The problem that I've been trying to solve is getting a jacket that is BOTH super protective and also has tonnes of airflow. A lot of the summer/breathable jackets on the market tend to do one or the other.

The jacket I personally kept coming back to on hot days was this full mesh prototype so I got to work on refining it and making it better!

The Meshie Jacket combines a super breathable double layer of F5 Mesh that is abrasion resistant and CE2 armour in the Shoulders, Elbows, Back. It also has armour in the Chest! The mesh material has been doubled up across the jacket providing a huge increase to the abrasion and slide resistance.

Having a double layer of material that is closely stitched together provides a much better level of protection than one equally thick layer as the first layer can act as a sacrificial layer in the event of the impact with the road. It is also has black 1000D Cordura in the shoulders and arms to give the jacket a great two tone look but to also reinforce it in the highest risk areas.

Despite having two layers of material it breathes really well and is now the only jacket I use on scorching days!

ARMOUR

CE2 armour used in the Shoulders, Elbows and Back
The armour used in the elbows has huge coverage and extends most of the way down the forearm giving the best protection especially offroad in rocky environments!
This jacket also has armour in the chest which is made from the same material as the rest of the armour (isn't CE certified)
All armour is removable, flexible, soft and tests very well in impact absorption.

Want to use this jacket on cooler days too? Easy - just combine it with your favourite windbreaker/rain jacket and this jacket becomes usable in a wide range of temperatures!

Jacket Sizing Guide:

Below is the sizing guide. I've done this a little different to how most sizing guides are done. Instead of giving a sizing like 32, 34, 36, etc I have given the actual size of the jacket so you can pick the one that best suits you.

The main measurement is the chest measurement.

1) You want to take your own chest measurement (under the armpits at the widest part)

2) Then add a minimum of 12cm to that measurement then choose from the below table.

If you want a more relaxed fit or you typically ride with more layers underneath add another 2-4cm then choose from the below.

The measurements on the website are the actual size of the exterior of the jacket so you need some extra room to move and breath etc and 14cm is about the sweet spot for giving enough space to move but without making it baggy.
